Station (609) 296-5260
Dorm (609) 296-0335
Ed Center (609) 812-0649

From the Garden State Parkway, proceed to Exit 58 (Tuckerton/ Little Egg Harbor). Get off at that exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn onto Rt. 539 South toward Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor.

Proceed south on Rt. 539 for approximately 3.5 miles. At third traffic light, turn right onto Rt. 9 South. Almost immediately, there will be a lake on your right, and be a sign for Great Bay Blvd and a left turn lane at traffic light. Make left turn onto Great Bay Blvd.

We have three facilities on Great Bay Blvd. Directions to each:

TO JACQUES COUSTEAU NATIONAL ESTUARINE RESEARCH RESERVE BLDG, 130 Great Bay Blvd: It is approx. ½ mile on your right-hand side. Look for a big silver mailbox with 130, and pull into driveway. You will immediately see a sign with likeness of Jacques Cousteau.

TO DORMITORY, 132 Great Bay Blvd.: It is approx. ½ mile on your right-hand side (immediately after the Cousteau Ed Center). Look for a big black mailbox (on steamer chain) with 132, and pull into driveway.

TO THE FIELD STATION: Proceed down Great Bay Boulevard for approx. seven miles without turning. (Initially there will be houses, but after a mile or so there will only be salt marsh and the occasional marina. You ARE on the right road.) You'll go over a series of bridges, including two single-lane wooden bridges regulated by traffic lights. The road deadends at a wooden causeway. Please park at the end of the causeway and walk up the wooden causeway. We are in the old Coast Guard Station.

* - Please note that these facilities are not open to the public. However, we hold an annual open house in the fall - Call (609) 296-5260 Ext. 221 for details.
