Water Quality Data from the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve Additional information regarding other data logging sites on map (represented by letters) can be obtained by clicking HERE. Water quality data is retrieved at various stations throughout the Reserve using YSI data loggers. Parameters measured include: temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and depth. Readings on these parameters are taken every 30 minutes. Data loggers are retrieved and switched with new data loggers every two weeks. In the lab data is scrutinized for anomalies which are removed when cause is known. Data that appear anomalous but with no known cause are left in the files. Files are merged to create monthly files, which are sent to the Centralized Data Management Office (CDMO) in South Carolina. The data is reviewed and made available at the CDMO Internet web site within the year. The data presented here is the same data submitted to CDMO, with data for the current year being added as available.
