The data contained in the Excel files you have selected has been scrutinized for anomalous data. With the help of a Macro program developed by Central Data Management Office (CDMO), anomalous data caused by known events has been removed. This includes anomalies caused by bio-fouling and data loggers being out of water. Some anomalies have yet to be explained. Causes for other 'anomalies' may be actual physical or biological events at data logging sites, or may be the result of sensor drift. In the case of sensor drift, it may be possible to compensate for field drift using the guidelines in Appendix G of the YSI 6000UPG Instruction Manual. Deployment and retrieval times for each two week can be found in each metadata file for the matching year. This data has been presented in the most complete format possible, unexplained anomalous data has been included in the data set so as to not deprive the user of any potentially useful data. It is up to the discretion of the user to determine whether or not all data is relevant and reliable. For further explanation of this data, please contact persons responsible for data collection at the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve Sharon O'Donnell odonnell@imcs.rutgers.edu Metadata explaining each month of data collection is also available at the CDMO web site: |
