Education:
2001 Ph.D. Ocean Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
1998 M.S. Ocean Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
1995 B.S. Civil Engineering, Rutgers College of Engineering, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA

Research Interests:

All my research interests lead back to the Jersey shore.  I performed several hydrographic and land based surveys to analyze the effectiveness of the BeachSaver Reefs installed along the coasts of Belmar, Avalon and Cape May Point, New Jersey.  I assisted with the installation of the New Jersey Coastal Monitoring Network.  I participated in a study of currents and sediment transport through Manasquan Inlet.

My Master’s Thesis research involved the use of black and white photography to measure suspended sediment concentration.  My Doctoral Dissertation incorporated the use of a SonTek ADV and digital video to measure the motion of particles under waves.

My current interests are with the development and maintenance of the CODAR system deployed along the New Jersey coastline.

I have approximately ten hours of underwater diving time for research purposes.
