Step 4: Identify feasible solutions

(Chapter 5 - Finding Feasible Solutions for Your Community)

Now that you have defined your community’s needs and refined your community’s vision for the future, it’s time to look for possible solutions. This step will help you evaluate the available options, taking into account factors like cost and environmental constraints. Possible options are technological or management solutions, keeping in mind that a solution to a problem might affect another problem. This is where GIS technology can be useful.

At this step you should determine all solutions that are feasible for your community and estimate what they might cost and what they might achieve. This will be critical information when setting priorities for action.
